Shannon L. Dillon is a 2000 graduate of Florida State University College of Law. She joined the United States Navy in 1999 and served on active duty until 2005. While serving in the U. S. Navy, Ms. Dillon was served as a prosecutor, she was then assigned to a two-star admiral as a staff judge advocate. Finally, Ms. Dillon was hand selected to represent the U.S. Navy in federal court as the Special Assistant U.S. Attorney assigned to the United States Attorney's office, Eastern District of Virginia. Upon leaving active duty, Ms. Dillon was in private practice specializing in military defense and administrative procedures. She returned to During her tenure in the U. S. Navy, U.S. Attorney's Office, private practice and Commonwealth Attorney's Office, Ms. Dillon has established close ties to military, federal and state law enforcement agencies. She has taught courses to military and federal police on issues such as search and seizure, interrogation, evidence and trial preparation. Additionally, Ms. Dillon hosted a class at the sheriff's academy on the roles and relationships of prosecutors, defense attorneys and deputies in court proceedings.
